fishin port mansfield in march... anyone fished there that time of year?? we go in the summer and do really good but we are making a spring run for a big girl......
i grew up fishing east bay.... fish down south every once in a while any feedback is good... thank yal

Plugger I am going down to fish out of Arroyo City on the 16th. i usually fish south of there near gas well flats and do good most times. this will be one of the few times i have gone down this early as well. so i really cant help there. hopefully the fish are there...

Be prepared for the wind. 20-30 mph is not uncommon. Down there the tide movement isn't like it is around Galveston so the wind acts like the tide. You just have to remember Wind is a Good Thing.

when are you going where are you staying?
i'll be down there with a group of guys i work with on the 23rd-24th, staying on the north side of town.
1st trip to port mansfield but fished south padre island in oct. and had a blast with trout and reds on the flats, even caught a small baracuda.

I live about 45 minutes away and could possibly head on out there, I havent fished the bays much in port M. I fish more often out of Arroyo city, but have a little experience in the area. PM when you head down.

limited out two days down there fishing the Saucer and gas well flats. caught fish everyday but did real good Friday and Saturday...caught them on gold spoons, pearl colored bass assasins and even a bone colored Top Dog. all in all its was a really good weekend. My buddy hooked one Sunday that he couldnt even turn and it finally found a weak spot in his line and broke him off.
