I went on the Medina River yesterday from 470 to Bandera City Park. I do not recommend that section of the river. (1 mile of walking and dragging the kayak) rest of trip was ok. Caught several fish and had a great time. Yellow Roadrunner with a 2in pumkin grub, and silver spinner were the lures they liked yesterday.

Nice fish and a super report! That river usually runs shallow in that part. I do not fish the Medina often but have heard that there are some nice deep pockets of water just up from the Medina Lake.

Diablo Amigo, with a Larry Chair seat. Love the Kayak, is floats in "skinny" water, but the CFS flow was just not enough to float that one section of the river, Tuesday.

Some of the holes are 8 to 10 feet deep. Average about 3 1/2 feet. The section by Schmidtke Rd bridge only a couple inches at 39 CFS (Medina gage) / 69 CFS (Bandera gage) need more flow to float that section. Kayak would float with out me on it, so just a 3/4 mile walk in the river :-)
