I know this is the bass thread but since it gets the most traffic I hoping someone can chime in quickly, I will also add to the boat section.

I just purchased this Skeeter ZX 176C and I have it at the shop now adding my electronics from my previous boat plus an recessed foot pedal tray. The tech called and is a little unsure about cutting into the deck to do so and I have to go look at it and sign off on allowing him to.

Is there any issues with adding the tray to this model and if so can I get some advise before I install?

This is a 99 model.

Have you thought about calling the factory?

That's what I did with Legend.

I just called them and they said it's done all the time but the tech is worried about cutting too much support from that area.

Skeeter said to just make sure I cut the hole far enough back so that the tray doesn't ground out on the hull.

I'm reaching out to see if anyone else has had experience with this.

Pull bow panel. Take picture with phone. Will tell him what's in there and how to proceed.

Disappointing that your Service Provider is not contacting Skeeter for you.

Think I'd consider taking my business elsewhere.

I'd be nervous about the shop too. This isn't brain surgery. Support won't be an issue either.

Best take it to a fiberglass shop if your not doing it yourself

Looks as if you have plenty of room..be mindful of the butt seat plate..you should have no problems
