I sure wished someone would sing to me about how Palestine is fishing. I am going to hit that lake for my first time. Don't even really know how to get there.

Use the 315 boat ramp in Kickapoo.

Have'nt been, but 3 months ago, you could barely get out of the kickapoo ramp! Lake is a little low!

It's a really fun lake to figure out! They really wad up when the waters cold so if you catch a good one keep pounding that area. Don't be afraid of the stumps life is short and insurance is realitively cheap. The run up north is a little sketchy with the lake low. Kickapoo ramp is fine. Good luck.

lake has come up some,due to the recent rains should be easier to get around.

Lake is showing 1.4 feet low. Going to get fun there soon

From Kickapoo ramp is crossing the old road bed by first old bridge the only was to get into Kickapoo area, only fished Palestine a few times and one time the water was low and I could not get over old road bed at first old bridge tried to go to second old bridge/under water road but the water was to shallow could not even get close to old road bed. So my Question is there another way to get into Kickapoo from Kickapoo ramp if you cannot get over road bed?

This is the mindset it takes up north right now for sure. Lol.

I applied that a few months back in Flat Creek, having a low deductible is nice

Sometimes you can get across the road bed by going to the south toward the boat ramp and then crossing over. You then slow idle between the old road bed and the bank to the bridge and start fishing.
