This is gonna sound a little sick but that may have been my last Alabama game. I didn't miss a second of it and I tend to pass clean out around 6:30PM every night. I could see Bama was a little short on defensive personnel by early 4th quarter and pretty much saw where it was headed. Since this may be my last one I will make a call now. Next year BAMA will be there again and be deeper and better with several more true freshmen. The signed and have on campus the #1 running back in the country and that kid is special. But before he even gets here you have to know that the corral of running backs will look something like this; BO Scarborough, Damien Harris, Joseph Jacobs, Najee Harris (#1 Running back).
Then at QB you will have Tua Tagovailoa 5 star Dual QB coming from Hawaii. He very well may beat out Hurts for starting QB next season because he comes to town with one heck of an arm and Sark was part of his recruitment. So what I am saying is the offense will be closer to the defense next season.
What I am also saying is that the talk about QB's from BAMA will change next season completely as Saban has made a fundamental change. If you are better at QB you will get to play no matter your class. That has never been available at BAMA. Tua knows he has an opportunity to prove he can do it as he is already on campus.
It saddens me that I most likely will not get to see any of this, but I am excited about the Future.
OHHHHH and here is a follow up. When Saban retires, or whatever move he makes next. You saw his replacement beat him Monday night. A one time walk-on at BAMA that made good. His Clemson System is very much like Saban's.
I think Bama will continue to be super competitive. ROLL TIDE!!!!

Courage - knowing something will hurt and still doing it. Stupidity - knowing something will hurt and still doing it. That’s why life is difficult

Good observations and I agree that Alabama will be good for a long time to come. And good luck to you.

Saban is a machine. My favorite coach of all time. I don't root for Alabama but I do marvel at the level of success maintained. So so hard to do.

Clemson wore down the defensive line of Bama. That is how they won. They D line was injury depleted this season for Bama. They will be back next year, healthier and deeper.

Bama will continue to be superb . . . it's what they do!

Having watched alot of college football through the years and reading your above post I have to disagree. I think Alabama will lose a step or two next year. Losing that much talent on defense to the draft is really going to hurt, especially in the SEC. They will still win alot of games and score points but the offense is only going to put up the numbers that excellent defense was scoring this year. Yes I know they have great recruiting and all the 5-stars but those athletes need coaching time with their respective coordinators and alot of them need to learn to grind to get through the training and practices. It takes awhile to learn the system.
Now before everyone calls me a hater I say Alabama is still a top ten team and whether they make the playoffs is the competition X-factor. Georgia will be highly regarded and falter like they always do, is Florida going to make a jump forward - I don't see any signs of it in their bowl game, is LSU going to make a jump - maybe. Can Bama beat LSU next year - maybe considering they are playing a very young Bama team. This game will decide if they make the playoffs or not.
My too early take on next season. They will be crazy good in 2018 and 2019 with their young QBs.

My take on Bama next season? Ask me then. Why waste energy on what-ifs? RTR!
