You may get something here, but there's a lot more Garmin info over at bbcboards. Good info at that.

I have been running one for a month. Everytime I go out I learn something new about it and the water I fish. It is the best investment I made as far as fishing. Love it.

Which model?, I've been kinda looking at the 7sv. Notice several elite guys are using them, must be a reason since most of them with garmins don't seem to have an sonar sponsor.

12 inch garmins are about the only ones worth it to me.

I have never used a Garmin but Humminbirds and lowarnce tend to be the main brands I probably will try them though because they're the cheapest i've seen
