With the Bassmaster Classic quickly approaching, I am sure many have their favorites to win this year on Texas' own Lake Conroe. Post your picks here!!!
I'll start with my pick of Keith Combs. Keith has won BIG on Conroe a few times and I really don't think there is anyone who wants it more. Losing the AOY title for 2016 by such a small amount must really hurt to a guy who has won AOY titles at every level of competition but the Elite series. Not that it matters but I have known Keith personally since he started fishing club tourneys in Killeen in the early 90's. We were both members of the Phantom Bass Club at Ft. Hood. He was just a teenager back then but already a guy to contend with. He's known what he wanted in life at an early age and has stayed on that path ever since.

I say Combs also. But don't count out Alton Jones and son. They can work together to ensure one of them wins! I would think a father seeing his son win is about as good as winning yourself (almost).

As much time as he has put in fishing Conroe the past several years, one would think Keith would run away with this thing. That's what everyone thought about Jason Christie on Grand, too.

Charlie Hartley. His brother lives on Conroe. Man that would be awesome. Nicest, most humble guy out there. And let's not forget that Swindle and IKE have both done well on Conroe, too. But Combs will be the man to beat. He's gotten more info and spent more time on that lake than anyone.

That said,not all of those are in it and KVD has never won a spawn tourney that i can remember... my top 3 three are Kombs Faircloth Steve Kenedy Dont sleep on the Jones's though... Alton and Little Alton both and I PROMISE you little Alton has been living down there and fishing it every legal minute... If I could pick, it I would pick Hack or Kombs

My money is on Combs, but you cannot rule out Clunn either. He cut is teeth on Conroe. So he knows a thing or two about that pond.
