Only thing I put ice in anymore is tea. Although I only drink, water, tea and coffee. Water is best at room temperature IMO.
What a maroon!

I usually drink bourbon out of my Yeti rambler, so I don't change or add ice often.
But, when I drink out of a proper glass, I feel like I'm usually drinking the melted ice along with the bourbon and ginger ale, so all that is left when it's time for a new drink is ice. I might add ice to it before I make the next drink, but I don't remember throwing it out, unless for some reason there was a delay in refilling and the remaining ice melted.
I'm putting too much thought and effort into this and I still have 2.5 hours before I start drinking (playoff games). Jeeze...Either you have an EXTREMELY large Yeti, or you are a leetle beety guy! The Yeti keeps ice longer. Surely, you've seen the commercials.

I don't like ice in my Shiner but a little top off with Jack Daniels is good.

Depends on where I'm at. At the store the water is good and good filtration system. Ice is clean. At home well water has bunch of minerals, ice gets a funky core to it.

Fresh bourbon demands fresh ice.
The world is changed by your example, not by your opinion.

You're wasting some good bourbon if you throw out the ice.

I had a few bourbon and coke drinks the other night. As I was making my second my wife asked "did you just throw your ice away?". I just stared at her. I always make my drinks with fresh ice. Did I commit a faux pas?
Luckily my daughter had my back. "He doesn't want to water down his drink with used ice mom." first, what are you doing mixing anything with bourbon...next what are you doing putting water be it frozen in the bourbon... put the bourbon in the fridge so it is cold to begin with....then sip it before it gets warm then repeat until desired effect is reached... and please quit abusing the bourbon !...

Ice cubes don't fit in the bottle.
