Fished Waterloo in Denison Monday and Bethany Lakes in Allen Tuesday. Limited out flyfishing - Video Post.

Trout were moving about and feeding on the surface at Bethany this morning. After working different parts of the pond, settled in on the "point" and was able to limit out sight casting to passing schools. Video Post.

Was looking over the stocking schedule for this year. And I say is it me or are they stocking a more trout in the ponds in our area this year? I don't remember them stocking 4000 in Murphy city hall or 6000 in Mckinney Towne Lake last year. I can't remember the numbers but it may have been the same. Pretty sure Bethany got about the same either 1700 or 1800 my only complaint with Bethany is the steep banks on that pond are too dangerous to for me to take my kids. The spots that aren't steep are either taken or not very productive to fish. I kinda wish they could stock a different pond in Allen but I don't know which pond would be the best canidate for it.

Agree on Bethany, they should stock sonic pond, then there'd be fish in it and sonic could help out, free small slushes to the first 25 kids that bring a trout over.

Lol Reshelman! That would be cool with me! Sonic pond is closer to where I live. I doubt the people that live in that neighborhood would like 500 cars parked all up and down their street though. Maybe they could stock both ponds at Celebration Park. At least their would be plenty of space on the banks. They would have to wait until January or February for that cause I think those ponds are on the shallow side and water temp and depth may be an issue.

These little fish can be pretty fun to catch.
I've only been twice so far and both times on warm days. First day was skunked, buddy hooked 3, but lost all 3

I went back a few days later and used a silver 1/16 oz super duper(what my bud had used) and landed 2.

Tomorrow is restocking day in Katy, so will hit em after work, and the weather being cold should have them more lively.
