has any one had experience with the LED 50/50 strip lights I put some on a small john boat and they worked good and were plenty brite. I just never got to actually use them. Im wanting to ad some green lights to my boat before summer so when its hot I will fish at night. My boat is 22' so im gonna need a lot of lights. and help or suggestions area appreciated.

LED lights are bright. I got a boat kit from Bluewater LED. It has everything you need. One thing I would do is put a dimmer switch on the lights on the deck. Also, put a separate switch for the rest of the boat, rod boxes, storage, and live wells.

Are you talking about lighting the inside of your boat or on the outside? I had some on an old boat pointed down under the rub rail for night fishing. They worked great. You can use the cheap rolls sold on ebay, just need something better for the adhesive. Look for the ones that are waterproof and then seal the ends yourself. Mine were from the cheap ebay lights and had them on for about 2 years before I got rid of the boat and they were still working fine. You don't really need too long of strips. The 50/50 are pretty bright and a 12-15 inch strip on one side of my boat brought in plenty of bait fish.

If for the interior, you might want a different color. Try them out at night before you install to decide ont he best locations and how much light you need.

I do agree, step back to 3528's for inside lighting, or get a dimmer, or both.

Yea I'm pretty much wanting the outside of the boat lighted for fishing. Not sure what I'm gonna do on the inside yet may have some installed that are flush n with a dimmer. Thinking red in side to keep the bugs down at nite. I haven't seen the 5630 lights yet I may get those if they are brighter.
