Fished RC this morning and crazy enough there are a other people who braved the winter chill. Managed to land a handful of small crappie and missed a lot of thump, can't even feel my fingers. Met Jimmy along the way and I too managed to land a sand bass. I totally did not expect that but the only keeper of the day, a thick 12 incher. If you dare brave the winter chill tomorrow wear a lot layers, the bottled water I brought with me was chilled. Be safe everyone and tight lines!

I also noticed that the sandies I caught last week were very thick. I wonder if those are muscle
For the winter or fat .

i am the crazy fishing man even the snow windy and cold,stay 2 hours at noon caught about 25 small crappie and few sandy,7 crappie keeper.

Jimmy, you definetly love to fish!! It was freezing cold today & you're still out there catching fish... Lol. I'm wanting to learn learning how to be a better crappie fisherman, so hoping to get together with you sometime & learn some things!

man.. that's a lot of dedication there. People don't seem to understand how much effort and time they put into water to get to the level where they catch fish consistently like Jimmy. People see post and there's some magic. But reality is, all the skilled people here i fish with put tremendous amount of effort and persistency. Look at me, i fish for 2 hours and give up..

Today fished from11:30 -2:30 caught only three smaller ones. I was able to see some of the fellow TFF's there.. KFJ, Reddman, Bright and few others as well. Good to see you guys, only saw two guys caught three or four keepers. Anyway it was good time to spend there in the creek weather catch or not.

Yeah Coffebreak it was tough fishing today! We were still able to get some scouting in and share info with you all. It was great to finally put faces with names. Next week looks promising if the weather holds up as forecasted. Be safe and tight lines everyone!

today fishing after cold front,try some hot spots i usually fishing with,most spots not even got bite,only last spots caught some keeper and 20 small one,coming temperature getting warm,sand bass might moving in early this season after rain,good luck and good fishing for everybody.

Nice Job Jimmy. I like the picture of those crappie with a snow background. The picture it self is a keeper. Just like Reddman said Its nice to picture some face finally with these names. Nice to meet you guys especially thank you Jimmy for helping me to find the place.

What kind of bait you were using. Normally its hard to find hybrid before sand bass run. feel free to correct me.
