I would be calling to f/u with your adjuster 1 time every single week. If you have done every thing that the adjuster has asked (given statement, provided estimates, etc.) there is no reason they shouldn't have settled on something by this point. How many times have you followed up since you provided the estimate to the ins company?

Kingfish, same scenario here, appraiser was very cordial, first adjuster was easy to talk with, but final adjuster .......... kinda like good cop / bad cop. I understand the process, respect their role, but respect goes both ways.

I've only dealt with 1 auto adjuster in my life, which was when my truck got hit by an inattentive driver.
His insurance company was a company that I doubt anyone here ever heard of, which had me worried.
But the adjuster was very respective, and so was I.

The only issue I had was when she surprised me with a notice that they could only pay rental car costs for 3 days upfront.
After that, I had to pay out of my own pocket and wait a few weeks to get reimbursed by them later. But that's not her decision, that was her employer's decision. Lucky for me, I had to only pay 3 additional days for the rental.

brandon f.,

Every time he requests additional info he gets it immediately, he had to follow up on some medical bills (I still forewarded him a bill that has gone unpaid as of last week) He did say last week that he was close to making an offer, however when he did that they were required to make that offer availuable to the Government and that could take another 90 plus days.

Dealt with a few and never had any issues. I always got my vehicle fixed at one of their company-approved places. I think most of the folks who have issues are those who are trying to get paid directly and then find a place to do it for less so they can make some $ on the side.
