 strike king tungsten umbrella rig question...

I got one of these "things" for Christmas - my question is whether the front tie on ring is supposed to spin (it does on the one i received) - seems to me that it should not - just wanted to see if anyone knew before i took it back

Yes it spins.. Strike King Tour Grade Titanium Umbrella Rig is what I use and it spins

Be careful bouncing bigger fish out of the water. The wire will pull out of the head fairly easy.

Be careful bouncing bigger fish out of the water. The wire will pull out of the head fairly easy. Or just fail during reeling in a fish over a pound in size. Great in theory, but junk in reality.

Wow that is good to know. I have never had a Yum A-rig fail me. I will stick with those. those blow up too, arms rip off etc.

I fish the strike king with the heavier wire and never had a problem and I have boat flipped 5lb+ bass. I used to fish the yum but I always was having to bend the wire back out them they broke.

i guess i got my answer - just dont understand why the tie in would spin - doesnt make much sense - will trade it for some stuff from the dollar box at wally world...

Those look pretty slick and you put the split ring on them for storage as well.
