how many of you have driven accross the metro to fish in a tiny little pond that I caught in? how many of you have a PB from dallas from a place I told you about? how many of you have driven accross 15 bodies of water to come fish next to me at a place that I fished a few days before that is just miles from my house?
"Reading Swim" "Cotten Reel" "Secret Swim" "Goosy Goose" "Your Wife's Pond" "The Cliff's" to name a few.....there are big fish all over the place....pull up google earth find a body of water close to you and fish it....if you dont catch the first trip out...even better! that means no small fish

I would love to get a phone call from someone telling me that they just caught a 20+ from some where totally new....

Don't get me wrong I love sharing my catch's and having everyone come out and fish with me! but I would love to see some new "named" swims showing up as well....for me its what makes what we do so cool...the "best" spots can sometimes be some of the most over looked spots....I lived next to the reading swim (about 1000 yards away from it) over a year before I ever fished it...my fist trip there I had a 16+...........

lets see some reports from some new waters....

Hehe, don't worry Zach. As we've reported to you several times in the past, Bret and I have several swims lined up, and when we land the expected big fish, you will be one of the first to know, and probably the first invited out there, just to pay you back for all the great spots you've taken us.

Conversely, if we haul up 25 1lb carp instead of 1 25lb carp, well you'll be one of the first to know about our humiliation hehe.

So don't worry dude, Bret and I have a whole bunch of spots lined up to investigate as soon as this pesky ATC is out of the way.

In fact, I may be hitting one this week.

Hmmm...Then again...have you EVER fished Sneaker Swim? Lol.

Sneaker, Double Super Secret, Bridge (RIP), The Confluence, the still unnamed Justin referenced above, Tri-Island, The Bowl, and a plethera of more spots that have (or will) produce.

Until the last trip to Austin, my PB came from Sneaker (it wasn't that big, but it was my swim.

I see your point though Zack. I've often wondered why people drive across the plex to fish a pond crossing over a dozen virgin ponds on the way.

Now, quit being so cranky. You'll have to start selling minnows if you keep it up.

One day I'm going to fish 'your wife's pond' though. I have a unique interest to see what all swims in there.

Now that I work in Plano I will be exploring waters near here. In fact I just happen to have brought some gear today. Fly rod and light spinning rod in fact. Now we'll see if the new job allows for time to go exploring.

Bret, I still think the Outback Swim will produce 20's. We've only fished it once, we blanked, saw a big carp crash...and when you look at all those ponds by Zach that routinely produce 20's, how could this one not?! Lol. Plus, all the other ponds near it.

The swim I may hit this week isn't the Super Star we keep talking about, but the other spot I have been mentioning all the time since Saturday.

I thought about going to the projected Super Star, but I wouldn't have anyone to take pictures of my new PBs...Lol. Or my bitter humiliating 1 pounders.

I promise when I get time I will go exploring. I can say that soon we shall have a lake house to use on Eagle Mountain and the area out the back of the property backs down to the lake - and yes it looks sexy - anyone know much about E/M?

And it's only 3o mins from my house.

Hey guys, I just started fishing a pretty obvious place in Rowlett. It has some promise I think. I spent about an hour there the other day and landed a 5 pound Buff and a 5-ish common, both on float.

I've been dumping bait in there this week and will probably hit it again soon if the wind will ever lay a little.

It's a pond, 16 acres worth. It's no secret really, as it's a public park. Let me know if you want to hit it some time. I'll be fishing it more over the next week or two and will let you guys know how it turns out.
