Hey Bubba, I got my gig sharpened, my battery charged, and my boots on. When we going? With a little luck and some hard work, I can show you how to gig one of them fine Alabama Flounder. (Or Galveston, TX).
When in doubt, push it all the way through em.

I'm getting geared up myself. I am so ready that I have bought some new boots and have been standing in the bathtub practicing!!! Seriously though I am hoping that by the time season rolls around into full swing I will have us a flounder pounder boat this year. I'm gonna send you a pic of some that we got from around Sabine Lake last weekend.
FISH ON!!!!

Hey Bubba talked to Kim this morning and he said they did their Monday night trip. He said the water over by the park was really off colored, but they had two pretty good slabs a 5lb & 6.5lb. He said we should plan on a trip next week and he would take to that place that I like off the side of the canal in those little pockets. Give me a call, Richard and I could come down together, maybe JD will go to. Check the tides and weather, let us know. I'm thinking double digits....... Get It ?

I've never been around Corpus, but I heard there were some excellent spots. If I here any specifics, I'll let you know.

I go to Corpus and Rock Port with a friend that lives on Copano Bay.Most of the time we start right there by the park and go towards Goose Island. If the wind hasn't been blowing the water clarity is generally pretty good. We've had some nice limits with some fish up to 8lbs.There's a couple of big gators in there, but never any problem with them.I'll get the name of the other ramp we go to that's on towards Corpus,it's a pretty good boat ride over there'but that's where the saddle blankets come from.Overall alot better quality fish from there. Some of the guys that my friend goes with call it Barn Door Bay.

Never too early but you may have to work for them with the high tides...make sure to hit the flooded marsh grass especially leading off of bays and any inlets.
