The title is a bit misleading, I thought uh-oh. My older brother played for K-State (Foosball) when they stunk, K-State they have a gem of a Coach.

Sumlin may not be the best, but he has definitely turned the program around. A far cry better than Franchione and Sherman

Sumlin rode Manziel Evans and a bunch of other tallent that Sherman recruited...his teams do not finish.
Tallent is amazing...they are not coached well period...clock management is a whole other topic.
Not being able to manage Seals Jones and Noils is an obvious failure.
Whether you think you can or you can't, you are probably right.

Sumlin may not be the best, but he has definitely turned the program around. A far cry better than Franchione and Sherman Sherman was in cotton bowl his last year and recruited all the talent Sumlin won with his first year. You should know what you are speaking of before speaking.

A lot of bad to average football is/was played in the state of Texas this yr, some of it coaching some of it lack of talent. IMO the play in the SEC was down this yr outside of Bama and the Big 12 overall was terrible.

So after Sumlins first year, the bowl games ATM have been in were by mere chance?

So after Sumlins first year, the bowl games ATM have been in were by mere chance? No, I think the 8-5 records and the embarrassing losses both in bowls and during season as well as the lack of defense, the decline in offensive production, the exodus of qbs, the dope issues are absolutely credited to sumlin.

I just want to make a point here. I wanted Slocum to go. I guess it hadn't entered my mind how much worse it could get. Franchione was a disaster. He was the hot name at the time. I'm not saying I'm in love with Sumlin. Actually, I want him gone. But, it's an easy decision to can one because you can see what he has done. Much tougher to hire the next one. I still miss Jackie Sherrill.
