The first time you forget to close the bilge and just reach over and flip the lever you will be glad you did.
It has saved my bacon twice.
It's easy to forget or miss it in your prelaunch routine if you get distracted.

Yes I've made that mistake. Reaching over up under the boat with your head half way under water is not a lot of fun when it's cold!

installed mine over a year ago, works fine. bought it on black Friday sale, Tacklewarehouse, saved 20%. sure saves my knees and back, having a ranger, its a long reach for the plug. also, if you forget to close it, simple reach. Love it.
