I have removed wires and gauge goes to E and plug them they go to F
I chaged one sending unit with a brand new one and it has a quarter tank and still showing full. I am completely lost. Any help would be much appreciated.

I have a 2014 Ranger, I'm on my third sending unit, all three have been all over the place. I finally quit trying to get it fixed, and mine was/is under warranty. My dealer is as frustrated as I was. Luckily for me I guess, is I can see my gas tank, and how much gas I have, and I only have a one tank. So, I keep it pretty much filled up, or I look at it before I go out, and never let it get under a half tank. I know that's sad, but I got tired of smucking with it...

You pretty much have to have the tank empty to set the float correctly. I just just adjusted my sending unit again and now it reads empty when it is empty but will show full up to about half a tank left. All i care about is when I get to a 1/4 tank left in the tank. It is a pain in the bum to get it to read 100% correct.
One thing to keep in mind is some tanks have baffles to keep fuel from surging. Make sure your float is not getting hung up on a baffle. That was the problem with my sending unit. The float would set on the baffle and would read half full when empty.

Sounds the pink sender wire is to ground. Make sure the wires are connected correctly, remove the sender pink wire, put the jumper from the gauge sender post to the center post on the sending unit. When working on these tanks with sending units under the seat. I always test straight from the gauge to the tank sending unit before I put the seat back in place. Jumper wire with alligator clips.

To solve sending it issues go to a WEMA style sending unit with a vertical magnetic float. They are very accurate.

Make sure the ground wire is on the correct post of the fuel tank gauge selector switch. Those switch`s have a light that requires a ground. Remove the sender pink wire to see what happens at the gauge.

I pull ground off tank two sending unit and tank goes to E put ground back on says full. Tanks at 1/4 with new sending unit

Touch pad never mind. What does the gauge do with sending unit out, turn key on and move the float up and down. If nothing happens, I am afraid you have problems in the touch pad. May require a new pad or bypassing the pad with a 2 way switch and new wires to each of the tank sending units. Grounds will be fine.
