I'm a Duke fan. Grayson Allen absolutely needed to be suspended. It's unacceptable and inexcusable to continue to trip players. It's also very odd to me that it is his knee-jerk reaction to getting frustrated during a game. I don't understand it.
Dan Patrick just interviewed coach K and asked what Allen's explanation is after he does this and Coach K wouldn't answer because it was part of a private conversation he had with Allen. I can respect that, but the answer to that question is the most interesting part of this whole thing to me.
I agree that the kid needs to see a sports psychiatrist or something, because this is not normal behavior on a basketball court.

The "Duke flop" is not normal behavior, but K has been coaching it for decades.
I agree with old Seth. If the second trip had been by anyone other than a dook player, the ACC would have stepped in. Will they do anything this time? I doubt it.

Seems like an ACC problem and not a Duke problem. Duke suspended him. I thought he should have been suspended by the team after the second one last year too, but that doesn't mean he wasn't punished. Coach K also works on teaching lessons, which I'm sure he tried to do last year. It didn't work, so the kid has been suspended.

It seems like he can't cope with adversity in any way and it snowballs into whatever the hell that was on the bench after he tripped the guy. He was upset about getting caught. He's a smart kid. He knew the ACC would have to do something. The ACC still hasn't done anything, PH. Your bias is really showing through in this thread. How bad do you hate Duke?
