Learn one and all the rest are just variations. I've heard some are that way, but I know some definitely aren't. I have used Auto CAD just a bit, and it is wildly different than NX, which is what we use at work. I don't think it would take any less time to learn Auto CAD now than it would have taken to learn it from scratch without knowing NX. I've also used Solid Edge, but that's really similar to NX since they're owned by the same company.

Revit MEP Check youtube. Plenty of how to videos. Started drafting by hand, moved to CAD, and now Revit after 35 years, Structural. 3D,4D and beyond.

I used autocad for almost 30 years I would say get the certificate at least an AA would be better. The more you know in the beginning the more you will learn with experience there are a lot of tricks they won't teach in classes. Knowledge 3d solids and some other software like Revit for architecture is a plus. Good luck

Thank you all for the information! I am still trying to find a school that does online classes for a certificate in CAD. All of the local options seems to not offer online courses for it.
