Who has a DD from Squaw Creek in last 2 years? (Bass not tilapia)

Haven't heard of any

They grow too fast and die too early due to the hot water

The metabolism of the fish is so fast in hot water lakes for fish they tend not to be DD's. They are in there they are just hard to find.

Probably right. Checked tpwd lake record just a tad over 11 lb and almost 20 years ago.

There has been a couple caught in the past three years that I know of. One was caught in a tourney.

Only one I know of was caught by Dreschel in the BLT solo. I still got the pic some where .

People say that they grow so fast and die early why there aren't many DD but Monticello has produced a lot of 10lb fish over the years and I think the lake record is 14 to 15lbs.

This fish here was pushing 10lbs. Squaw Fish are heavy for their length.

You need to crig 6-8 inch tilapia to catch the big ones.

I had a 9.94 a few years ago in a high school band benifit tourney, no many big fish weighed so far this year.

That was long ago, I have only seen one DD come out of Monticello and that was like in 2004
