Yes, rarely, but we take precautions...the more likely scenario includes kidnapping while we are onshore. We take precautions there, too, but it still happens.

You have to consider the motivation behind a kidnap scenario. In west Africa, it is a financial transaction. They have no reason to kill you because you are worth more alive than dead. In the Middle East, money is not their motivation. Killing you and posting a video on YouTube to generate fear is their motivation. I won't travel to the ME.
