I was on Welsh on Tuesday and had a good day on the north end of the lake. The combination of wood and thick grass seemed to be the key. Caught good numbers in the 2 to 4 lb range on Zoom Mag II worms (watermellon/red) and Reaction Innovation Sweet Beavers (hematoma) pitched in timber.

Ive been the last 2 Saturdays, 2 weeks ago we boated 45 (7am-3pm) all skinny water around wood, steep banks, ect. Mainly all on the north end of the lake. Last weekend boated 20 (9am-3pm) found a lot of fish south hanging on the edge of grass lines, although didn't boat as many the quality was way better. Both days all I used all day was texas rigged or weightless soft plastics.

Water has been pretty cold for welsh, last weekend I saw 59 degrees eeks

Dang, THAT IS cold for Welsh in December. Maybe it's their turn to "go offline" and be a cold water lake.

Thanks for the information. Was going to go on Sunday, but my son and I changed our minds with the front coming in on Saturday. Thanks again.

You MIGHT see many of these plants kick in this Sunday when the air temps drop into the low 20's and every electric heater in North Texas is cranking.....just don't think I'm mad enough at the fish anymore to find out. Saturday pre-front? Might be great.
