First time in 70 yrs I ever heard of this mess. Clear Lake residents are being ticketed ($40) for parking on sidewalks....and that goes for your car in your driveway !! C'mon Man

That's why I don't live where there are sidewalks or HOAs for that matter.

mine as well park on them, people don't walk on them they would rather walk out in the street side by side

I see several cars pulled partway up on sidewalks as i walk the hoods. One of our 3 cars is always hanging over the sidewalk that crosses the bottom of our driveway. No tickets here though

That's what ya get for living in town. Ain't no sidewalks out here in the country.

(a) An operator may not stop, stand, or park a vehicle:

(2) on a sidewalk;

I don't know why anyone would be surprised about it, the law has probably been in effect in one form or another for longer than anyone on here has been driving.

We have 3 vehicles at my house currently. 2 will fit in the driveway. The other goes in the street so we don't block the sidewalk.

I don't see the issue. Sidewalks are for walking not parking vehicles

SIdewalks are public places. Does one want little kids and people with strollers to walk in the street because one is too self centered to pull up in far enough in the driveway? My guess if someone is injured due to your blocking a sidewalk you are liable.

Why do we drive on a Parkway, and park in a Driveway?
