They look great Skip, I can already see the stringers filling up with big old slabs of crappie. They all look great but I like the second one from the top best, the red color will work good in stained waters.

I don't make my jig heads I get them from www.FishyMemories.com and they are Sickle hooks. I love the hooks because they have a little larger gap and they come sharp unlike Eagle Claw and Mustad. I like never needing to sharpen my hooks. I got spoiled by Gamakatsu back in the early 90's and I wish they made small jig hooks, but they don't.

They would probably cost too much anyway, LOL!

Skip, it was nice meeting you unexpectedly under the bridge Tuesday afternoon. I never found any crappie, but did leave from the bridge and pull in a nice 3-4 lb largemouth near Shawnee Shores.

The new colors look great and I'm sure you will be hauling them in soon. Seems like I under-shot my timing for a trip by a few weeks.

Hi Arsonal,

I ended up keeping 10 that day and 11 the next. They were biting pretty good, but so many dropped it as fast as they hit. I still caught a lot of fish, just a lot were small. I think Wednesday I actually had a little bigger fish in general.

Wednesday there was another guy fishing the same spot you guys were and he got a few keepers, 5 I think. My biggest fish Wednesday came on the other side from where you guys were. So fish were on all 3 sets of columns. Also Wednesday I tried Pink and did really well on it.

Hope to see you again sometime soon as they will be shallow very soon.

Good Luck,

Skip
