How do you like it so far? Is it worth the wait, hype and cost? I'm still waiting for mine to come in.
Thanks

I have not used mine yet it is a Christmas present but I wanted to let everyone know about Trolling motors .net I ordered a 36 volt 52" shaft Ultrex from them Monday the 28th and got it the 29th the motor had been damaged in shipping so I contacted the company owner Clayton and he had me a new one here by Friday the 2nd same price as T/W no shipping no tax.

I am going to wait until they have been out a couple of months to see reviews of actual owners and to see if anything changes from the first ones on the market.

I have the Ultrex. It works great and does things I didn't know it would do until I bought mine.I think it's the greatest thing since the trolling motor was invented.

I am like Ezbassin. I will wait to see what bugs show up. I not sure how that much electronics is going to take the pounding on the front of the bass boat. I have the 112 Fortrex so I am not in a hurry to change.

I have one, but have not had time to use it yet. All the reports I have seen are very good. I can tell you the Lowrance Spotlight scan foot pedal control will not work on the Ultrex. Also, this trolling motor sits a little higher and makes the cover on my Ranger Z521C not fit as snug.

I have had one for almost a month and it is almost perfect. Boat cover does not fit as mentioned and cable twisting around the head concerns me. The release cable was forced to the side with the twisting cable not run over the head. I have Talons and was having one repainted and used them every trip. Now that I got the one Talon back I probably will not put it on and may sell it. As long as it holds up it is well worth it. Puts fish in the boat every time I have been out and has saved baits every time. Captained the high school for my daughter and helped run the Trolling motor from the driver's seat while one fished in the front and one in the back. Did not get the link just the ipilot. Pretty nice to put it on high and walk away as the boat moves across a cove. My MG you could barely stay on it on high no matter what you did.
If you're not happy naked you won't be happy with clothes on. Don

I thought the Ultrex wasn't gonna be available to the public until next year, around January/February. My new FX 21 will be here in a few days. I asked to have an Ultrex put on it when I ordered it in October and my dealer said they won't be available until next year. Can you already get them?

Is the cable steering and foot pedal action identical to the Fortrexx?
