I will be attending the Bassmaster classic this year at lake conroe. I want to take my boat and fish along with check out how the pros are doing on the water. I would never fish a spot that i see a pro fish on the tournament days, but i dont want to be sitting on a spot that one of the pros might want to fish at some point in the day. So should i just follow them and not fish or just try and stay out of the way? Thoughts?

Why would you fish that weekend on that lake? Let them have the lake and just enjoy the event as a spectator. Personally I would not want to be the guy that possibly affects one of them negatively by actually fishing during the event. Its the Classic, its a big party. Go enjoy it and fish the other 51 weekends of the year. There will be plenty to do and see besides actually fishing that weekend in Houston.

Me, I probably wouldn't fish the lake wile they are there. Just respect for the event.

But if you are and a pro comes your way, just give way and let him have it, shouldn't be a big deal

90% of us on this forum would give way and put up the rods for the weekend, but I am telling you right now, there are gonna be some "royal jackwagons" on the water that weekend looking for attention and a way to get on TV. Mark my word!!

Everything on your bass boat is broken......You just don't know it yet.

I wouldn't fish... But it WOULD be extremely hard to do!! but can you imagine catching a 5lber off a stump and then here comes KVD rolling up to it and blanking?!?! I would feel HORRIBLE as I would want him to catch it!! Yep for just that 1 weekend I would have to just leave the rods at home or in the truck. Maybe go fish a lake on the way home that I hadn't before.

I agree with geofisher- there WILL BE some *&^*^&%*&^(*&(*&(*%^%&^%* that just have to follow the Pros and GPS the spot and fish it and keep doing it all 3 days...

Yep I think these are the same ones who take to long at ramp, launch with their lights on and tie up to courtesy dock so nobody can get to it. They need to be beat with sticks.
