Were on the way to the lake right now. Billy says that for him the cover makes the decision for him. It's either 20 flouro or 50 braid. Medium retrieve reel. Andrew uses high speed reels for big swimbaits. Just his preference.

Good gawd, Martha...you guys act like some frickin' 16yr olds or younger. I can attest to the fact that the pads don't always produce biggens. We had 3 sticks in my boat on Wed and we never caught a fish bigger than 2.20 outta the pads, but we caught a mess load of males. We fished the same areas as they did and threw SB's and swimbaits, but smaller ones. We watched many a people fish the pads, too, and not one person that we seen had a big fish. That day they simply weren't biting, biggens that is. I enjoyed the video....that kinda bite don't happen every day. Now, if I would've tied on a Convict would we have worn out the biggens? Heck no....we watched people fish the giant swimbait and kept commenting on them, and nobody that we seen had any big fish that day. We had a 6.85 at the bridge and I would almost bet that was the biggest fish of the day from anyone out there. Big fish were simply not cooperating. We hadn't seen the video before our trip on Wed, either. Otherwise, I would've had 60 or 70 Convicts in my boat, haha.....I already had two but they were life size.....Francis says "LIGHTEN UP"
