have to opt out this season Chris. West TX combined with Amistad is way too far of a drive from the Amarillo area. To the rest of the Tx panhandle guys that were looking at BLT and thinking the same thing, check out media bass. Much closer lakes.

Yes, Media Bass might be a better fit for some people if they like that schedule better. Thanks for pointing that out on a BLT thread.

If anyone knew what it takes to book and plan a tournament season maybe the would look at it a little differently. It takes a lot to plan that many events. I help plan the 23 HS events and it is very time consuming, checking the other trails and dates.
Some people you just can't please Chris. Me and the boy may try to fish the Dallas East. Have to make sure I don't have any events to run those dates.

I'm always glad to see squaw in the winter but what is over looked is people(some) have to plan in advance. A lot of us plan on what we are going to fish and take vacation days accordingly. Which means an early schedule helps us plan on what we are fishing.

Which means an early schedule helps us plan on what we are fishing. Understood. However, there are a billion trails in Texas and when we put a schedule out too early, then we have to change a bunch of dates. Over the past, that has made people more upset than when the schedule comes out later. I wish I could please everyone, but we all know that just not possible, and trying to do that over the past few years is part of what spread us out so thin. Hopefully enough people like the schedule that we put out and we're going to have some good tournaments. If someone doesn't like the schedule, then there are plenty to choose from, so getting on here to complain (without even reaching out to us first) never really made sense to me. Just fish what you like and let other people fish what they like. You know?

Agree with Chris... Better late than never. I will be fishing the BLT DFW West. Media Cowtown Individual, Bass Champs North and other events when I can. I see that there are some conflicts with other trails and I don't like some of the lake choices on certain dates either. However, I just plan accordingly and don't bitch about dates and lakes.
Be reasonable guys... Just pick your trails and other events when you can. A great deal of time and coordination has to go into planning these tourneys when there is a tourney every weekend somewhere in Texas.
Personally, I am glad to see BLT eliminating several divisions and prompting higher participation, thus more consistent and better paybacks.

Obviously this has an adverse effect on the TBC metro region, I know everyone always tries to avoid , bass champs, TTO, and media, and not enough weeks in the month, but jeez our schedule has been out since oct, every year someone stacks on top, I understand, but this causes the guys leaning towards fishing with the wife or whatever make a decision. ...

I see one major conflict between our whole schedule and the TBC Metro division, and that is the first event on Squaw Creek. There are many more trails than what you listed that we try and schedule around on a number of lakes in three states, which makes putting a schedule together a literal puzzle. Moving one event to another date means having to move several around to other dates, which were originally not chosen by us because of a conflict. It is literally impossible to miss every single tournament because of the number of tournament trails, clubs, opens, and special events in Texas, but we did the best that we could, and we are sorry for any inconvenience to anyone having to make a choice if they were wanting to fish both. We allow teams to fish other events on the same day as ours if there is a conflict, as long as they follow all of our rules, and we even allow a team member to fish alone to represent the team, on top of allowing teams to miss one tournament in their 2017 division and still qualify for our championships. Also, if one of our divisions doesn't appeal to someone because of lake selections or dates, then they can pick any five events that fit their schedule (Pick 5 division) to still qualify for the championships. I hope people will be able to fish everything they want. TBC Metro Division Schedule Compared to USAFT ScheduleJan 29 Squaw Creek - Bud Light Trail DFW West on Squaw Creek (conflict) Feb 26 Squaw Creek - Bass-N-Bucks is on Toledo Bend (no conflict) Mar 26 Granbury - Bass-N-Bucks is on Sam Rayburn (no conflict) Apr 23 Ray Roberts - Bud Light Trail is on Lake Limestone (no conflict) May 21 Joe Pool - Bud Light Trail is on Lake Hudson in Oklahoma (no conflict) Jun 18 Lewisville - Bud Light Trail has a Father's Day Open on Lake Ray Hubbard (possible conflict)
