I am looking into purchasing the new Ultrex. I have used only motorguide previously and currently have a recessed aftermarket trolling motor tray. Will the new ultrex foot pedal fit in the existing tray since it has the additional spotlock and autodrive functions?

I bought one a couple of weeks ago and it fit my tray just fine. It replaced a fortrex. Only thing I noticed is it is about a 1/2" taller. I love it.

If your tray was built for motor guide then a minnkota pedal won't fit. What brand tray do you have?

My new 112lb.Thrust Ultrex fit my TROLL-EZE tray perfect. The TROLL-EZE brand tray fits both MINN KOTA or MOTORGUIDE. I absolutely LOVE my new ULTREX.I replaced a brand new FORTREX with it.

My ultrex didn't fit in my comforttroll recessed tray completely. I had to put a piece of wood under it to elevate it a little bit to allow for the cables to properly run out the front.

It's an R&R Design tray suppose to be universal fit. I am getting my Ultrex through Humminbird at a media discount but, right now tacklewarehouse is about the same price once you apply the 20% off.

Will the I-pilot work with Lowrance gen 3 graphs? And will Lowrance spotlight scan work with the Ultrex?

Will the I-pilot work with Lowrance gen 3 graphs? And will Lowrance spotlight scan work with the Ultrex? Ultrex is a Johnson Outdoor company, which owns, Minnkota, Humminbird, Talon, Lakemaster and several other companies under that name. So I am going to step out on this thick branch and say that 99.9999% that the answer to your question is no it will not work with the lowrance electronics. No it will have the universal transducer built in the head that will work, but as far as following contour lines and going form waypoint to waypoint on your graphs, no. It is designed to be used in conjunction with Humminbird. What you are asking for, I believe the model is the ilink, which links the Ultrex to the Humminbird graphs. Now you can get the one that is not the ilink, which is the model that is being shipped to me as I type, it was about $400 less.

I like Lowrance and I like the Fortrex and must have cable steer. I'm looking for a refresh on the trolling motor and figured I would like to be able to hold a position when offshore fishing ... follow a contour line or go waypoint to waypoint, not so much.

Side note.... I think today is the last day but you can preorder for 20% off, no tax and $6.95 shipping from TW. Est arrival 12/23. Link doesn't work with lowrance units..just get the ipilot.

Will the I-pilot work with Lowrance gen 3 graphs? And will Lowrance spotlight scan work with the Ultrex? No, the ipilot link will only work with Hummingbird. The regular ipilot remote works independent of your graphs. Also, the spotlight scan footpedal lever does not work on the Ultrex. Not sure if Lowrance is going to come up with a plan to fix this.
