Haven't fished since June and I'm taking my 10 year old tomorrow out to joe pool. Anyone having any luck lately?
Just wondering deep or shallow, main lake or creeks? Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks guys- just trying to keep my youngest interested in fishing, my other two boys are more into video games and sports.

I haven't had much luck lately. Caught a few small ones shallow but not many. I can find the shad out deep all over the lake and fish seem to be scattered around not following the baitfish. I've about given up on pool for awhile and going to try some other lakes. I've talked to others at the ramp and everyone has been giving me the same story. Can graph them but can't make them bite

I caught a Zillion little ones yesterday. Shallow. 1-4ft. I got tired of donating plastics. Left around 12. Biggest I caught was two slots around 3-1/2lbs each. Loyd and three fingers.

We fished from 12:30-3:30, fished mainlake points shallow out to 20' with a spoon, c- rig, and drop shot- not even a bite. Ended up catching one on dropshot about two lbs up shallow. If I could do it again I would try reaction baits shallow. May try waxahachie next time

Deep diving crankbaits was the ticket today. East side, boat pointed into the wind 25 - 30 FOW, throwing back to the points or shoreline. Got tired of catching fish. left at 1045

We had 15 or so. Half little & the other half 3-5lbs. A-rig caught the biggest fish.
