Champion...but, you also DEFINATELY want to look at the Charger listed above. Great rough water, dry riding boat & 19.5' with a Merc 200 EFI is about as dependable as they come.

It's very unuaual to find many original owner boats nowadays. There are a few out there but that's WHY they are "original owners" . Problem boats dont STAY with original owners(or subsequent owners) very long. It'll be very hard to find that much boat at that price. It leaves some wiggle room for updating with good electronics. If i were in the market for a used boat that one WOULD be the FIRST one I'd look at & take for a lake test, I'd take cash with me & if it checked good, I'd own it at the ramp when it got loaded up!

Love my 97 Ranger 488VS. It's 20ft with a 150 and handles great, everything you said! I'd recommend this just because I'm partial.

I have a 99 519DVS Ranger with a 225 Mercury EFI. Motor is dang near bullet proof, and it is one of the best rough water boats ever made. It will also do 73mph+ in colder weather. I have done a lot of upgrades to it (hydraulic jack plate, power pole, hds 12 at console, hds 7 at the bow, new Ranger trailer, recessed tray and new tour motor guide trolling motor, and quite a few other things.) I would love to upgrade to a z520, but I can't justify spending the money when I already have a 20' Ranger with quite a few bells and whistles.

For the right price, everything is for sale.

I am in the market for a used bass boat. I would say from 1995 to 2005, would probably be might cut off. I would love to find something for $10-$12K, but I think I might have to go to the $16k range to find what I want. I would prefer 19' or larger. I don't care about speed. My concern is something that has a great hull, sits well in the water, handles rough water well, fishes easily. I fish mostly at night, and very seldom during the day. What manufacturer do you love and what year do you think that they produced there best boat. What is the best motor out there that just keeps going with no problems. The only boats I have ever rode in were a 1998 Charger, old 80's Skeeter and I owned a 2001 tracker ProTeam 185. The tracker with the slightest of wind just wouldn't sit still. What are your thoughts? Stay patient and keep searching for the right deal... its tough to find anything decent in the $10-$12k range IMO, but step it up to $16k range and you can get something pretty darn nice. It took me months but I finally found the right deal and pulled the trigger on a 2005 Skeeter ZX 225 this year. Believe it or not I found the deal on Craigslist and was able to verify the dealer was legit through friends in the boat biz. Had to fix a livewel pump, replace crankin battery, and re weld the winch post... just a few minor things that took all of 1 day and less than $200 to fix.
