I was wondering if anyone on here has had to replace the foot pegs on their Ascend FS12T.

I recently bought a used one for my son (which he likes). It'll also be used as a "guest kayak".
But it's missing the foot pegs. The previous owner informed they were lost during a move.

The rails which they mount on are still in good condition.

I'm hoping if anyone here knows if theres some compatible substitutes that'll match the rail.

I really don't want to replace the rails as I don't have much access inside the hull.
I had rivets pop out before.

My guess is that they screw on to nuts molded in the hull of your kayak. Look and see. If not, they got nuts on the back of it and that means you can too. Id look at the hole spacing and look for some that match.

The pics of the pegs in BassPro ads for the FS12T look like the ones in my Perception Pescador. I lost one and ordered a replacement from ACK in Austin, for under $10. You might call them and see if they think they will fit. Or, check with BassPro to see if they can get you the Ascend replacements.

Call Bass Pro Tracker Shop. They carry or order all parts for the Ascend kayaks. The shops are located int he Bass Pro stores. You have to call them and order.

Oh, yeah, Adan: When you get the new footpegs, put a cotter ring in the hole at the end of the track, and you won't lose any more. If there's no hole, drill one thru the track base and put a cotter pin in. Cheap insurance.
