Hey folks, I've been trying to weed through the Black Friday ads for different stores and narrow it down to just the fishing stuff. 25 pages of fluff and about 8 good deals is what usually happens. Nothing in there excites me.
You also have to see if what they advertise is really is really sale priced. A lot of the time, the retailer will list itms in their weekly or sales flyer under the regular price, but the illusion is that because it's in a flyer it's on sale. Not always so, and Academy is really bad about doing that, especially with their low-emd merchandise that they want to get rid of.

I saw BPS had the Lowrance Hook 9 for $499, is that a good deal for that unit or is there a more recommended unit in that range?
