Planning to go fish in Louisiana this weekend to catch some Trout and Reds and with this front coming in I was wonder what it will do to the bite? Normally I fish for Bass but love to mix it up when I can so. Planned to fish Lake Calcasieu or Sabine Lake. Have never been to either so any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

If the north wind is strong Id stage in front a bayou draining a good size pond/lake and let that wind, tides blow the fish to me.

Calcasieu Point Launch might be a better option. Personally I would not fish an area that I didnt know with a boat this Saturday, but that's just me.

Going with BigJohn this weekend. Generally, how does a cold front affect the trout and red bite? We are used to bass that shut down and hug cover when cold fronts hit. Does it compare? Thanks again for the info!
