Here are two quick chatterbait trailer tips that make a huge difference in the action of the bait! Some of you may already do these, but most don't. The cut swimbait in particular is AMAZING!

I like the LFT slug as it swims perfectly behind the chatter bait, it has no boot. Same concept as the swim bait with the tail cut off, it just swims better than a boot tail, just a little smaller. I never thought about just cutting the boot off. Thanks for the tip Matt!

Tips like this is why your channel is the most informative on youtube! Great job I usually rig my chatter bait trailers like you said but never had any sound reasoning to why I was doing it!

I like using a plain ol sassy shad, keeps the bait compact and cuts down on the short strikes, also last a long time... thanks for sharing the vid.

Good Video! A buddy of mine showed me a change up using a magnum fluke as a trailer. Must use with a chatterbait that has a substantial hook. Take pocket knife and split the tail all the way up to the main part of the bait. Has a unique action and bulks up the bait. I was skeptical until he smoked me on it one day. Same can be applied to a normal fluke.

Wave Tiki Snake best tail action vertical. Just bite head off and thread it on. Also the best kept secret going. Try it you will not be disappointed.
