Saw the doctor Monday for my cystoscopy. Turns out I've got a really nasty bladder stone and the doctor thinks that the irritation from the stone is causing bladder spasms that cause my leakage problem. The stone looks like the inside of a geode with all the crystal structure on it.
Another doctor called yesterday and surgery is scheduled for early January. Not sure what type of surgery it will be as I haven't talked to the doctor yet.
I'm really hoping it's not an open surgery because my lower abdomen is starting to look like a road map.

Man Streetwalker, I'm sure hoping this rock can be blasted to tiny bits with ultrasound or something and get you back in working order without another surgery, and a new AUS installation, and all that related business. Prayers up for something good like that to happen for you

I heard a story the other day on the radio that a study was done on kidney stones. Which of course is different than what you have, but it concluded that riding a fast roller coaster a few times can cure some patients of kidney stones. I don't recall if you had to pass it while on the ride or if you got to get off the ride and run to the bathroom or not.

They'll likely cath you after the surgery. Make sure they do it before the anesthesia wears off.

Good luck. I had my doc schedule my rotator cuff/bursitis/bone spur/arthritis surgery. He asked how long till I wanted it done.
I told him I wasn't doing anything that afternoon (yesterday). He laughed and its now on for the 28th. No big deal and I still feel fortunate for my good health. Hopefully going back to work around the end of the year.
Will be thinking of you.

Whether you think you can or you can't, you are probably right.

I've got a lot of scar tissue at the bladder neck due to surgery and radiation. The stone is about 10-15X bigger than my urethra. Not to mention all those sharp points and edges.

Received my paperwork today.
I'm very happy!
It's going to be a day surgery. They are going in through the bladder exit (willie, johnson, whatever) and bust up the stone with ultrasound and suck it out!!
