 What I hate about the spawn.

Seems like every year...It's coming...It's coming...It's coming...It's coming...It's over...
I always seem to work the weekend between the two weeks that they spawn.

I tend to get sick quite often during the spawn.  For some reason, fishin' helps me get better.

I always seem to work the weekend between the two weeks that they spawn. What I hate is when you are out there, and someone says "not that good now, but the last 2 weeks have been great."

FishingGuy, That exact scenario happened to me today, only they were talkin' 'bout white bass. Still managed 17 nice keepers when I decided I had enough to clean!

That is why i catch em in the winter SandSpike. They start biting right at first frost and don't quit till about March 1. That's a much longer period than "2-3 hit and miss depending on the fronts" weeks in the volatile weather spring! You can have em this time of yr!

You have not missed anything the last two weekends, maybe this weekend. I will not be able to make it this weekend, so let me know.

I will be going to Rayburn tonite and may stay the whole 9 day spring break....and maybe not. If they aint biting yet...Im going home and put in my garden and do all that flower bed work. Gawd I hope they are biting cuz I'd rather have fish blood under my fingernails than dirt!

Hope you have some luck, things should be real close to the spawn. Winds should be very light Sat and Sunday until afternoon, that will be a real plus after the last two weekends. I will be up there next Friday, I could not get off this week. Brother-in-law will be there Wednesday.
