I am in the market for a used bass boat. I would say from 1995 to 2005, would probably be might cut off. I would love to find something for $10-$12K, but I think I might have to go to the $16k range to find what I want. I would prefer 19' or larger. I don't care about speed. My concern is something that has a great hull, sits well in the water, handles rough water well, fishes easily. I fish mostly at night, and very seldom during the day. What manufacturer do you love and what year do you think that they produced there best boat. What is the best motor out there that just keeps going with no problems. The only boats I have ever rode in were a 1998 Charger, old 80's Skeeter and I owned a 2001 tracker ProTeam 185. The tracker with the slightest of wind just wouldn't sit still. What are your thoughts?
You Betcha

There's a 2001 Skeeter ZX190 w-Yamaha for $8999 under boats for sale on here. Looks like was really cared for. I have a 2001 ZX190 and it rides and fishes great. Boat is priced right.
I am a Senager. (Senior teenager) I have everything that I wanted as a teenager, only 50 years later. I get an allowance every month. I have PU truck and a bass boat, I am blessed. Conscience never acquits, it either accuses or excuses.

Since I recently bought a Champion, I never want to be in anything else. Smoothest, dust ride that I have ever had in a bass boat. Mines only 17.5' and to me rides better than larger boats that I have been in, in the past. I won't win any races but I won't be uncomfortable either regardless of how big the waves get

I have a 02 champion 188 with a 200 yamaha ox66 that i've been thinking about selling. Its a great boat and i've upgraded everything on it. Its not perfect but a great boat for 14 yrs old and I would fish out of it anywhere. I would take $12k 580 280 0162

That may be a pretty good deal on that Champ 188. Solid boat and that motor is a favorite of many.

I would get a 18.5-19ft Ranger exp. 185VX, 19fVX, 188VX or 519VX based on your needs/wants. Sits in the water flat and hands down best fit/finish and fishing platform when the trolling motor is down in that year range.

I have a 96 ProGator 200V w/ 98 Merc EFI that I recently purchased, was supposed to be lake ready which absolutely was not the case. It is now and I am extremely happy with it. Fairly heavy boat but the 225 pushes it 70 GPS with a full load. Handles rough water unbelievably well.

'98 Champion 187 Elite w/ a '98 175 HP Merc. EFI. Got it used in late 1998 or early 2000. Will still do about 60 MPH in calm water and in chop or white capping waves it has a dry ride and will be the only bass boat I'll ever need to have. Everything still original, except trolling mtr., carpet, impeller, some fuel lines, and electronics. Oh yes, I've added quite a few Ray Roberts pin stripes.

I bought a 95 Champion 181 this year and I will say it's the best riding boat I have been in. Was out today in 15 mph winds and the boat performed great. Now just wish I could have bought a bigger Champion so I could fish two up front.
