Seems Anytime This subject comes up I see multiple spandex lovers defend their "right" to be on the same roads at the same time As cars and trucks- "I drive safe, follow all laws, use common sense/courtesy-" And yet it almost never fails I see evidence that many bicyclist just don't- That is the reallity most of the time- I just wouldn't want to be on the same road where where I know my being there irritates folks in vehicles That could hurt Me- And yet this doesn't faze a lot of riders- It's the law. If you don't like it then try getting it changed. I know most of this is just blowing smoke but it does get old every time a post about bikes is made people say things like. I'd run them over, roll coal bro, etc etc.

Since the same laws apply to a pedaled bike as to a car, I would think that laws for everyone encountering a cyclist apply as if it were a car. If this is true, then shouldn't you be required to have a drivers license to ride a bike on the road?

It's like a lot of things discussed on here. Riding a motorcycle, riding a bicycle, wake boarding, jet skiing, fast boats and cars, etc...if some one doesn't do it, is afraid to do it, or has never done it, they attack the ones that do. My advice is get out and do some of these things. You might actually find something you like to do.

Bikes are for Q's.
Team wolfs I had to perform. It took a minute to get it all in my mouth and another five to swallow it all.

If this is true, then shouldn't you be required to have a drivers license to ride a bike on the road? If there were a classification for it on your driver's license, then yes. There is not a classification for non-motorized vehicles along with a few other exemptions.

I was referring to bicycles. I can't remember passing a motorcycle in ages. I got stuck behind some idiot motorcyclists on Hwy 16 going about 70mph for like 15 miles a couple weekends ago. There was 4 of us backed up behind them and they would not move into the shoulder to let us pass

You will rarely have to pass a motorcycle, if so, the biker(s) will likely give you the road. If it's a bicycle, they likely won't give you the road, so wait till it's safe and blow them off the road with your wake. That's why you have mirrors on the side of your truck.
