I have a 1994 ranger 492vs that I have been restoring as my dad kind of let it go. I am doing carpet and seats and buffing the glass and have put a new motor on it. However the trailer needs some love. The brake system is rusted and needs to be replaced. I am thinking about trying to put disc brakes on it like some of the newer trailers. Has anyone tried this? Thanks for your time,

Rich

I put new brakes on my trailer. Bought parts from the above named company. I went back with the drum brakes but it was pretty easy. it may be a good idea to go ahead and replace the master cylinder while you are at it. Be sure to pump fluid through the lines until it comes out clear. you don't want to pump nasty brake fluid into your new stuff....

May want to replace the seals and bearings while you are at it... You are pretty much already there.

I've found etrailer to be a good source for parts as well, and they have a ton of instructional type videos.
