The certificate is usually received in 2 to 4 weeks.

Jamie(J-Moe) is right usually 2 to 4 weeks. Sometimes a little longer depending if Ron Smith (Program Coordinator) is on vacation or working on a inland fishing project. hmmm

Sorry for the delayed response. Work has been pretty hectic lately. I'm kind of surprised I haven't received any feedback yet. Either through snail mail, or electronic. But I'm in no hurry smile

Seeing as it's illegal I don't guess there would be a catch and release record Lol

Catfish713, it could be that Ron has taken ill again. He was out on sick leave last year. I submitted a water body record over a month ago and I haven't heard anything yet either. That is very unusual so I sent an email on Saturday to see if there was an issue with my application. It sounds like there is some type of manpower issue at the TPWD Angler recognition program.

Plus #1.

Ron Smith is a one man operation for the Angler Recognition program. When he was out working in the field on a inland fishery project there was another person who filled in for him. I noticed the records were updated the last day of September. Ron probably took some time off this month or is working in the field. Records should be updated for October soon. thumb

Ron responded to me by email today and said the certificate is on its way so I would expect you to receive yours any day now.
