Maybe Michigan or OSU. Both are well coached and have comparable athletes. College football is won in the trenches (for the most part) with the occasional fluke in the special teams. Who controls the line of scrimmage? Alabama is doing that better than any other team this season. If your offense doesn't get on the field, they can't score. By the fourth quarter, opposing defenses are completely worn out, and Bama imposes their will--play after play.

I defer most College Football questions to Frank The Tank. (Overlooking his hatred toward the Big 10) I prefer a more balanced hatred.

All Conferences have their creampuffs within their conference. The SEC has 8-9 teams with decent records at the end of the season due to out of conference patsies.

The Big 10 (Should be the Big 14)has and schedules patsies

The Big 12 (Should be the Big 10) has and schedules patsies (Prairie View/UT San Antonio)(At least they play all other teams in conference)

The Sec has patsies and really schedules patsies (Kent State, loss to So. Alabama )

The PAC 12 (actually has 12! Go figure) IMO, has the best balanced conference teams. (Nobody knows who is going to win on a given Saturday)

The ACC is the biggest joke in any of the "Power 5". (Clemson, Louisville and Felony State is it) They don't have to schedule patsies out of conference, they have enough in the conference.
