So this is a new one....seems it's always something! My son raised the lid on the main deck storage compartment on my 2003 520VX...and the lid pulled apart from the hinges!!! UGH! I figured they used screws to attached the hinges to the lid but I noticed they used some sort of rivet??? Before I tackle this one...has anyone else had to do this? If so...HOW???

You have to remove screws holding the hinge, re-pop rivet it to the hinge, then re-install.

I would also use a thin washer for a backer for the rivet to keep it from digging into fiberglass.

Use a drill and drill out each rivet....then use bolts, washers, and nuts to attach lid and tighten up snug.
