We have received questions about kids fishing the tournament. People ask if the kids are fishing for a different prize, and the answer is they are fishing for the same prizes as everyone else. We are looking to make this a fun tournament that the whole family can get involved in. We want to ignite the passion that we have for bass fishing in our younger generation of fishermen. Our entry fees are easily affordable at $60 for adults and $30 for minors, and that gives you 4 months to fish for prizes. You get to chose what days you fish and for how long. You can even be fishing in other tournaments and still win money off catching a tagged fish! Please message me on here or www.facebook.com/basstagroundup/ if you have any questions! Online registration is now open!! Register Now!!!

We will be conducting numerous exciting events during the Bass Tag Roundup tournament. These events are geared directly towards our young anglers. These contests are for anglers under the age of 18, that are registered for the Bass Tag Roundup.
Contests are as follows:
Short Story Contest: Each contestant can choose one of three topics to write about. Option 1: Explain why fishing is important to you. Option 2: Tell us about the person who inspired you to fish and the positive influence they have had on you. Option 3: Tell us about the best day of fishing you have ever had, and how that made you feel. We will collect these stories and pick the best three, each winner will receive a Mystery Tackle Box that will have an assortment of awesome gear.
Photo Contest: The inspiration for these pictures will be "fishing and family". All photos will be hosted on our web site and will have 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes.
Art Contest:Our younger anglers will have the opportunity to show the world their artistic skills. They can draw, paint, or design their depiction of what the tagged bass named "Sam Houston" would look like. Use your imagination and come up with something beautiful or fun. There will be a prize awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. The most creative picture will be used for our youth T-Shirt image.
We will be developing more contests as the Bass Tag Roundup goes on. The Short Story contest will run through the end of January and other events will follow. We are excited to make this part of our Tournament Outreach and can not wait to see what the results will be.
*Special consideration will be given to high school anglers who are over the age of 18*

The Bass Tag Roundup began on January 1st and has been a busy two days. Mark Goetzman caught two tagged fish and claimed the first and second tags. The first fish is worth $3,000 and the second $2,000! Jason Branham caught the third tagged fish worth $1,000. He also purchased a bonus shirt which qualifies him for an additional $250, for a total of $1,250. Lee Cotton caught the 4th tagged fish January 2nd for another $1,000 in winnings. Currently as the last fish registered Lee has a potential bonus of $2,000. There is still a lot of fishing ahead of us and a lot more tags left to be caught. So you have to wait for a "Banquet",,,,,, I imagine is at the end of April the first of May ,,,,,,, to collect your prize money ??? why can't the winners just get their checks then "announced" at the Banquet ? why even have a "Banquet" ??? that seems like a needless expense.
