Hey Im new to this forum but would like to know about carp brigade. Where they go fishing. Im currently in Iraq, but would like to look into it for when I come back.

We fish all over the state of Texas. Most of us are from the DFW area. So we fish locally most of the time. Sometimes take road trips so be sure and check in on us so you'll know where we'll be.

Most of the Lone Star Carp Brigade is centered in Dallas/Fort Worth, but we have members all over the state, and few outside it!

I'm sure Zach would be happy to send you a shirt if you like, and when you get back home, we would all be VERY Happy to take you out and get you into some real big carp!

Also, I hear the carp fishing can be pretty good over there in Iraq! Do you get any chances to do any fishing over there?

A t-shirt would be cool man. Yeah their are some places to fish over here in Iraq. But the base im on isn't close enough to any of the rivers. I was hoping to get some time on the tigris, or euphrates. But doesn't look like thats gonna happen. I'll just have to make up for the lost time when I get home!

Fishing the Tigris or Euphrates, man that is sweet hope it happens. I need be I am willing to pitch in to get you some equiptment.

Zach, what's it gonna take to get this guy a couple Carp Brigade T-shirts?

A couple of years ago the TFF gathered some fishing gear and sent it to Iraq to some troops from Fort Hood. Rods, reels, hooks, lures, tackle boxes, everything. They left it all behind at whatever base they were at for new troops coming in. Some of them got sent for a 2nd tour last year and most of the equipment was still there. You might ask around.

I saw a picture of a couple of them fishing at a lake in one of Saddam's old palaces. One of them was holding a nice size carp and the other a strange looking catfish. It should still be on the forum but I can't find it.
