Does anyone remember who makes these and where I can order them?

Man I haven't seen those in years and can't recall who made them. What I will say is they damaged the heck out of line. Perhaps why we don't see them anymore?

Those are the Carolina keepers that slide on your line, red. The one posted by the OP was a twistlock type of keeper.

I have used the red carolina keepers, they also come in clear. They are a great and simple design that I actually like using better than threaded bobber stoppers becasue once you are done with the setup, you can take the keeper off and use it another day. I have been able to mostly find them at Academy for a decent price. They also work great for a pegged texas rig set up, or you can use two of them to have an adjustable drop shot rig.

Yeah I've got the Carolina keepers. I have never had an issue with this twist and lock style causing my line to break but I typically use them for a split shot. It's easy to adjust the depth or throw on when they stop biting a bait your catching them Texas rigged. I use the Carolina keepers mostly now but my dad swears by these so I told him I'd take a look. I I started searching last week but can't find them.

Instead of a split shot I have been using 2 bobber stops and a small tungsten bullet weight. Adjustable and does not damage line. This method doubles as a mini-c rig. If you get caught up in stuff it may slide the weight a bit.

Speed-O-Beads by US Tackle. They went out of business about 20 years ago. I sold a million of them when I was a tackle rep.
