I am planning on taking a week off and do a little kitty fishing on Lake Tawakoni starting March 12. Any good fishing report on the lake.

Sounds good Hooker will you be able to go out and catch a few fish while I am off 3/12 to 3/18. The only day I am tied down will be Wed the 14th am have some AC work done at the house.
I taked to a friend who went out today after Sandbass and said the lake was full of bass fisherman getting ready for a big tournment next weekend. He said out in the woods from the state park he saw a lot of jug lines someone set but didn't know if anyone was catching anything. He talked to one bass fisherman who said he caught a 5 lb blue on a jig in shallow water.

I need a fishing fix and plan to get in at least 5 days if not more.

I saw a guy come into the campground Saturday with 14 real nice blues, largest was 14 pounds. He said they had released at least that many that were larger then the ones he kept. (Pre-fishing for the ACATS. Saved the big'uns for the tournament.) He said they caught them on shad in standing timber in 5-6 feet of water. I didn't think to ask him if the shad was alive or dead. I know exactly where he was fishing but I doubt he would want me to share it since he was pre-fishing.

The wind was a little hard for me so I did my fishing from the dock. Caught 3 real nice channels, 5-6 pounds, on Danny King's Punchbait, blood flavor, in about an hour. It was too cold to be sitting in the shade and too windy to be out in the boat. It was much more comfortable in the trailer with a glass of whiskey. smile
