If the weather holds fish shallow with spinnerbaits and rattletraps on flats. fish will also likely be on beds if you like that. good luck.

Carolina rig 8-10 ft. water where there was hydrilla last summer. Hydrilla is still there, and bass are hanging out there. Check the shallows in Lewis Creek coves, and Atkins creek.

Spoke with Stow Away marina today. Great crowd and some nice black bass taken. Catfishing is very good and some large crappie are coming in. Whites slowed down for the past few days.

Reports I got from Lochness and Stow Away marinas these past three days( I did not fish, but was at the lake) were very promising. Several five plus pounder black bass have been taken over the past few days, crappie fishing is in full swing, and the white bass are running at the inlet of the river into the lake. No report on catfish but those I know that generally catfish have switch to crappie and whites the past week. Weather seems to be the biggest fact; mainly the wind.

I caught her this sunday. I put in at the ramp on 830, and fished mainly the little canals between the ramp and the 1097 bridge (due to winds and my little flatbottom boat mainly)

Got her at about 11 AM on a spinnerbait. I caught 10 more fish on spinnerbaits, jerkbaits, and a bandit 100 series.

I had to bring her home to weigh her, but I did release her back where I caught her.

Went 3/9 - NOTHING LOL. Not even a bite. Gar were bedding in all the areas we normally find crappie spawning. Primarily fished mid to south, Scott's ridge, Paula, lighthouse, 1097. Went back 3/10 to 1375. Found the whites under the bridge, wound up 17 whites, 1 crappie. 11 whites were female, full of eggs, but not bloody, the crappie was the same. If the weather holds, next week should be really good.

Today I bank fished the south side by April Sound Marina from 10:30-3:00. Picked up 5 cats, 2 FW Drums and 2 white crappie on live minnows. 1 LMB on a Texas Rigged Senko and enjoyed the excellent weather.

ended up fishing Conroe anyway...

Wife and I boated 18-20 (lost count)....all on bandit 100 series and pink trick worms (bout a 50/50 split).

We had 7 that went 3 or better and one that was right on 5 lbs...

I was very pleased considering the boat traffic...

...on a sad note though, we put it in at 830, and there was a search for a guy who drowned frown Word we heard from some news media filming there (while the search was going on) was that the guy slipped while fishing, hit his head on the trolling motor, and that was the last seen of him....

my heart goes out to him and his family...:(

Last Saturday had a similar day to my last report:

lots of bass on pink trickworms, bandit 100 series, chug bugs (fish actually came up schooling for a little bit), and chrome rat-l-traps.

Probably boated 20-25 with fish being 1-3 pounds...

Looks like the spawn was winding down in the area I fished (although I wonder what this weekend's cold front will do to the fish), saw lots of fry, and only a couple big bedders, mostly bucks.

The trap/crankbait really catch a lot of small fish in the grass if you wanna just have fun. Best spots for the trick worm were bare areas close to the bank in the grass...seems like sometimes you pick up a fish from every one of those, and it's just a blast to catch fish on.

Caught one bluegill on a crankbait that I could barely grab (nearly a pound), so I may take out some bream gear if the bass fishing slows this weekend.
