What's the best? I have Roads of Texas (MAPSCO) but it is worn out; is there anything better?

Who doesn't have a smartphone anymore? me for one I hate phones and wouldn't even have a land line but for the wife. No. I need/want a road atlas with all the little, even unpaved, roads.

Google maps has roads that have not been maintained in years. They do get road numbers wrong in the sticks though. Get a printer and print you up a book. Shouldn't take but a few months, and 20000 sheets of paper.

I'm leaning towards the gazetteer (Delorme) as well... I just can't recall if they are any good re county roads. I noticed that MAPSCO seems to be the source for all the choices offered.

I had a booklet map that showed every county road in Texas. The roads cutting through big ranches with incredible scenery was amazing. I lost it at some point and wish I still had something similar.
